We are excited to announce SuiteCRM will switch to a new and completely built from the ground up user interface (UI), and we want to share the first mock-ups with you. This will be part of Suite8, our next big release which is planned for the beginning of next year.
It has been a long and exhilarating road in establishing SuiteCRM as the fully open source enterprise CRM it is today from its early beginnings and we couldn’t have done it without our clients, community and partners that have all contributed to the project relentlessly over the years. And now we are ready to tackle the next stage of SuiteCRM, by switching to a new user interface. This is an exciting change we want to make sure that users like you are kept informed of our plans ahead.
The new UI simplifies interactions for users and developers, enabling the easy creation of powerful customer engagements. It will also be the starting point of building upon the new architecture for future enhancements and follows an API-first development approach to support the next re-factoring of the old SuiteCRM architecture – another mountainous goal we are in the midst of tackling.
What It Involves
Suite8 will include an Angular6 framework which will utilise the new RESTful API to provide the data. We are aiming to be even more flexible than the current SuiteCRM UI and look to integrate new areas for developers and system administrators to customise to meet their business needs.
Although we are busy with working on the future Suite8, we are also committed to keep squashing bugs and make the current 7.x SuiteCRM product as stable as possible before the new UI is introduced. You can continue to expect frequent 7.x releases.
Our Promise
We will always be 100% Open Source and that although the project may change shape and introduce bigger ideas we feel that we, SalesAgility, the home of SuiteCRM, can continue to drive SuiteCRM to continue being the best fully Open Source CRM in the world.
As always, we’re eager to heard what you think. If you have feedback on these mock-ups or ideas for other areas you would like to see, please do get in touch by leaving a comment below or jumping onto the forums.
Eagerly waiting for the release 🙂
One area which I am expecting changes is the relate record search from a relate field and Select option from subpanel. It would be nice if we can avoid opening a new browser window for searching records in both of these scenario.
Congratulations to Team Sales Agility. Great effort !!
As a solution architect, i can be sure the customers going to like these competitive & attractive changes as shown. Eagerly waiting for this release, so that can suggest my customers to upgrade their suitecrm application.
Hi,
what does early next year mean?
Hi! It means we expect to release Suite8 during the first months of 2019.
I am sure that SuiteCRM is not an ERP, but with the ease of creating new modules to integrate the different processes of a company, we can create an ERP with SuiteCRM. I think that some day you can have a group of modules to manage inventories or at least start with when products are invoiced, these are deducted from the stock of products and can make product entries.
Thanks and congratulations for this great project.
I hope you focus more on the BtoC small companies that also can use a decent CRM, with the flexibility to customize, especially for service based companies like insurance brokers with management of lots of data and documents and an extreme digitalisation.
SuiteCRM 8 looks and sounds great!
Looking forward to early 2019!
Will the new framework allow ability to easily design our own interface?
Similar to old SugarCRM that gave possibility of templates?
Hi!!
