Email Compose & All New File Attachments
In order to improve the email composition workflow, we have incorporated the Squire Email Editor. A modern and lightweight HTML5 rich text editor, built and used by Fastmail. Chosen because it is engineered specifically for writing documents like emails.
Squire’s design allows it to handle arbitrary HTML and provide a consistent experience across all browsers. It’s also supremely lightweight, with no external dependencies, and its “headless” nature lets us build a custom, minimalist toolbar that integrates seamlessly with our application.
The new Popup Email Compose in SuiteCRM 8.9
In addition, the new File and Attachment fields, introduces a new concept of “storage types”. Allowing files to be stored in various locations: local storage, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage and many more.
Each storage type can be linked to a different storage system, e.g. it is possible to have your private documents saved in Azure blobs while having images kept in AWS S3. This gives system admins the flexibility in how and where files are stored.
