SuiteCRM’s driving force, SalesAgility, has just released SuiteCRM 8.7 Beta, which includes; a major upgrade under the hood, improved LDAP and SAML support and the long awaited return of Target Conversion.

What’s new in the 8.7 beta?

SuiteCRM 8.7 beta

This release brings a major upgrade under the hood with the update to Symfony 6.4 LTS. This included significant updates to the backend of SuiteCRM 8 and will also allows us to keep SuiteCRM 8 up to date with latest industry standards and security fixes. While also providing a good new set of features that will enable scope for further SuiteCRM improvements in the future.

Authentication was one of the areas that had several updates and we also took the chance to also improve the LDAP and SAML configurations. Read more about this on our release notes.

This upgrade also includes a number of breaking changes in SuiteCRM code. We’ve included a list of all breaking changes on our release notes, though it is not likely to low impact to most people.

Apart from the Symfony upgrade, the 8.7.0 beta also includes the implementation of a missing feature: Target Conversion.
