HacktoberFest 2023

DigitalOcean’s annual HacktoberFest promotes open source development during the entire month of October and we are delighted to announce that once again SuiteCRM will be participating, especially as it is not only the 10th anniversary of HacktoberFest, but it is also the 10th anniversary of SuiteCRM 🎉

Having said that, we would be unable to succeed without the support of our fantastic community (as usual!). So we would love for you to consider this your official invite to get involved and raise as many PRs for the SuiteCRM project as you can, but before you get started all you need to do is register– which you can do between the 26th of September and 31st of October.

But don’t fret – you can take part in “Preptember” until then, giving yourself time to figure out how to get involved and familiarise yourself with Github. Equally, you can check out any of the issues marked “Hacktoberfest” in our repositories listed below to assist in creating a PR:

Our team of in-house developers will review and merge as many PRs as possible into SuiteCRM before the end of October, so keep an eye out for further updates on when the PR parties are happening!

In other news… The organisers of HacktoberFest 2023 have made the decision to take a step away from their usual T-shirt swag rewards. Instead they are introducing their all-new digital reward kit – which contains customisable badges that will evolve with each pull/merge request accepted by maintainers, representing a participant’s journey in open-source and HacktoberFest.

All that’s left to say is the excitement is definitely growing over here at SalesAgility HQ and we are certain that if we work together, we can make HacktoberFest 2023 the best one yet!
