SalesAgility, the driving force behind SuiteCRM are happy to announce the arrival of SuiteCRM 8.7, bringing with it many enhancements including an upgrade to Symfony 6.4 LTS, Record Pagination and Target Conversion.

What’s new in 8.7?

This release brings a major upgrade under the hood with the update to Symfony 6.4 LTS. This included significant updates to the backend of SuiteCRM 8 and will also allow us to keep SuiteCRM 8 up to date with the latest industry standards and security fixes. While also providing a good new set of features that will enable scope for further SuiteCRM improvements in the future.

Authentication was one of the areas that had several updates and we also took the chance to also improve the LDAP and SAML configurations. Read more about this in our release notes.

This upgrade also includes a number of breaking changes in SuiteCRM code. We’ve included a list of all breaking changes on our release notes, though it is not likely to impact most people.

Apart from the Symfony upgrade, the 8.7.0 release also includes:

  • The implementation of missing feature; Target Conversion.
  • Record pagination (previously known as vcr)
  • Re-styling and improvements to the pre-install page
  • Developer enhancements; field actions
