We are in the final phase of testing the production release of SuiteCRM 8.7 and will have this ready in early October. This release includes an upgrade to Symfony 6.4 LTS, Record Pagination and Target Conversion. For the full list of features, please keep an eye out for the Release Notes.

The latest Developer Insights video looks at using Record Thread Widgets to remove hardcoded module-specific features and make them more configurable. In our demo, we will explain how to display a Notes widget on the Accounts record view using the configurable Record Thread Widget feature as an example. Once SuiteCRM 8.7 has dropped, we will be pulling together the next maintenance release which will include several Security and Bug fixes. We will be looking to release this towards the end of the month and will provide further updates on the exact release date as it approaches.

We have already started work on the next feature release, SuiteCRM 8.8. Key objectives include upgrading to PHP 8.3, upgrading to Angular Native Federation, and enhancing two-factor authentication, along with other new and improved features. We’ll provide further updates as the release date draws closer.
