In the US alone, the education sector spends approximately $4 billion per year to access proprietary CRM systems, putting many offerings out of reach for resource-constrained colleges and universities. Our SuiteASSIST software development effort extends and customises SuiteCRM, the world’s most popular open source CRM, to provide a robust option for higher education institutions. This custom development work was initially completed in conjunction with the Maricopa County Community Colleges District as they could not sustainably spend the significant amounts they had been quoted by licensed CRM software providers

The project has also been supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Their help and financial support, has allowed us to create a platform that supports a dramatically enhances the student service experience without the high cost of commercial licencing, making it accessible for all.

The Maricopa Community Colleges were provided with a grant to identify, explore, and document innovative and scalable strategies for addressing the most common and pernicious advising technology integration challenges across priority institutions and student populations. This is where SuiteCRM came in and through this partnership, the SuiteASSIST software was born.
