Email variables available for Templates

Dear all,

I am trying to create an email template for a campaign. I am stuck inserting variables into the template. Two questions:

  1. I want to insert the Account name associated with a Contact. There is an “account” field with every contact (there are even UI elements for selecting an account). However, the dropdown “Contact/Lead/Target” does not list this field. Why?

  2. Why is “Contact/Lead/Target” the only thing available in the Email Variable dropdown when creating an email template for a campaign?

What is your SuiteCRM version, please?

Inside the “Contact/Lead/Target” you will find a field named “account_name”.

The other UI elements you mention are probably for adding accounts (to send email to the accounts main email address), whereas what you’re trying to do is to use the related field, the contact’s account, or the lead’s account.
