insert images into detail and edit view?

Any advice on how to insert images into the detail view (and if possible the edit view)

Yes, it’s easy.

Go in Studio / Module / Fields and add a photo field (maybe it’s called image field, I don’t remember).

Then add it in Detail view and List view.

In studio, you can add an “Image” datatype to the module fields. However this will be only for One Image.
If you need something that can add more than one image, there is a plugin in store for that.
