Make a record readonly

Hi,
is there anyway (hopefully without resorting to custom code) of making an Opportunity Record to become READ ONLY after a certain date / condition is met

Although the ADMIN should still be able to either edit or change record status (if required)
Currently running SuiteCRM 7.10.7

Sounds complicated (for me at least). One suggestion will be to use workflow to assign the opportunity to other security group/user where the original owner cannot modify only view.

I was thinking along the same lines.

Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to try, during the next few days.
