SuiteCRM for a lodge?

We are a small lodge which tries to recruit new members. Compared to an ordinary scenario we don’t have any companies to register only individuals. At the moment we have them registered in a spread sheet but it begins to be a limitation (the overview is missing).

A typical flow is:

  1. We find people to contact
  2. Check if we are allowed to contact them
  3. If we are allow to contact them we send a letter. If we are not allowed we register it.
  4. If they do not contact us - we contact them by phone
  5. Depending on their answer. We register it and different individual flows start

Can SuiteCRM be used for this?

As you see there are individual flows at the end. Some might ask to be invited to our next meeting. Some might say that we can contact them again in 2 years. How do you register it? Do you have different dropdown fields (enums) e.g. current step? Next step? So it is easy to filter or?

Yes you can have Leads for potential members, and Contacts for current members. Note that Leads can easily be converted to contact when the time comes.

You can also skip Leads and work with just one list of people, Contacts, if you prefer that simplicity.

For letters you can use a PDF Template and SuiteCRM will merge the Contact’s fields (name, address, etc) and you can print it.

Then you can have Tasks or Calls associated with each. These can be scheduled so that you know when they come due, even if it is in 2 years’ time.

Often people set up a dashlet (a block on the home screen) with “My Tasks” or “My Calls” which tells them their work list, what they need to do.

Yes you can add dropdowns with some labels to keep track of different “status”.
