how to prevent duplicate data?

Good morning to all,

I have installed SUITECRM Version 7.10.7 Sugar Version 6.5.25 (Compilation 344), I have a question and I would like to know if someone from the forum can help me.

In the accounts, contacts and opportunities, in the fields I want to know how it can be done so that when saving a record if it is already existing, it does not allow to continue saving the information to prevent duplicate data.

Does anyone know how to do it.

There is no real easy way to do this. It will require custom written code for each module. One alternative would be to purchase the Duplicate Detector in the store: https://store.suitecrm.com/addons/duplicate-detector
