Workflows

Hi guys, i have got the following problem.

I have the problem that I want to let me know when
I last had contact with one. For this I have already created
a new field in contacts. Now I’ve tried creating a workflow that automatically changes this field when
I log a call. But I must have done something wrong, because the field of the contact does not change.
