I want to use the existing Maps module and its associated fields (jjwg_maps_lat_c, jjwg_maps_lng_c, etc.) for a customization that integrates external systems in my company’s infrastructure. As I understand it, JJW Design has abandoned the Maps module, but it looks like the module is a permanent part of SuiteCRM anyway. Is it safe for me to depend on it for future versions, or is it likely to be removed at some time in the future?
Also, are there any automations, logic hooks, etc., currently part of SuiteCRM and affecting the Maps module, that I should be aware of? I intend to audit these, but if anyone can point out the gotcha’s so I don’t have to rely solely on my own luck to find them, that would be an immense help.
