Mails not sending with proper [from] [from address]

I know, this has been a known bug for the last … decades, but it worked for a while. After an upgrade to 7.10.10 we did a thorough check, or so we thought. Apparently not thorough enough. Because however we are possible to use the INBOUND mailadresses to send mails from, it’s actually not sending from those mailadres. It’s sending from the name/from adres in the mail settings, not from the name/from address in the inbound mail settings.

I’m going crazy here. Have been trying to debug this for the last couple hours and I can’t seem to get it to work. Have been searching GitHub as well, tried a shitload, to no avail. Does ANYONE has a solution? Thanks!
