I am also interested to know if this is possible. NOSQL based databases are really fast and it would be really efficient to have something like this in Suite/Sugar. I am not sure if this functionality is already available or not?
I read this post on stackoverflow that officially it is not possible till now but some people have managed to do it.

As per compatibility matrix here and here the only supported RDBMS systems are MySQL, MariaDB or SQL Server.
is there any place we can vote for this in the next upgrade?
