Failed to create portal user - AOP

Hi,

I’m running:

Suite CRM Version 7.6.4 - Sugar Version 6.5.23 (Build 1061)

and

Joomla! 3.4.5 Stable [ Ember ] 22-October-2015 21:30 GMT

I am trying to use AOP to create a portal user from a contact and I get the message Failed to create portal user. I have a virtual machine that houses both Joomla and SuiteCRM.

Basically, the domains are mydomain.com/suitecrm and mydomain.com/joomla.

Within SuiteCRM, AOP is enabled and proper information has been filled out but I cannot create a portal user. Please help.
